This course covers interactions you will have with people outside your ORGANIZATION/COLLECTIVE.
Commerce is the exchange of goods, services or something of value. For your community to create an ISP, you will need to get bandwidth from upstream. An example of this is shown in the video about getting a backhaul. You will need to purchase that connection from an Internet Exchange Point (IXP) or a middle mail provider. Politics comes into play as you must follow laws and regulations that are set by government. You should engage your elected representatives for help navigating the complex pathways you should be following to receive funding for the value you are providing to the community. You will also engage in commerce as you grow a mesh network that enables you to sell bandwidth to others downstream from you.
